Chevrolet Corvette C1 1959 Model
Chevrolet Corvette C1 1959 Model
The Chevrolet Corvette (C1) is the first generation of the Corvette sports car produced by Chevrolet. It was introduced late in the 1953 model year, and produced through 1962. The Corvette was rushed into production for its debut model year to capitalize on the enthusiastic public reaction to the concept vehicle.
As with the 1958 Corvette before it, the power train of the ‘59 Corvette was unchanged from previous years - with one exception: the addition of trailing radius rods. Of course, better handling also meant better overall performance, and the 1959 Corvette proved it at the test track. The 1959 Corvette was considered to be remarkably fast - and notably fast even by today's standards. The interior received minor. Both the door handles and the armrests were repositioned and a small storage compartment was added beneath the passenger side grab bar. In addition, both the driver and passenger seats were redesigned to offer increased lateral support. All speedos indicated up to 7,000 rpm and offered redline and safe limit indicators. Sun visors were introduced to the 1959 Corvette as a new option and concave instrument lenses replaced the flat covers of the 1958 Corvette, thereby reducing sun glare (and other reflections) Lastly, a T-handle manual transmission lockout was included to prevent drivers from accidentally putting their Corvettes in reverse. Time to make your early Corvette dream come true? Have you been hankering for a piece of rolling hi-power performance art? Well this is the car for you then. The car is exceptionally original and had a blow over many years ago. The interior, dash, motor and roof are all original. The car has recently been serviced and drives like a dream. This a real honest car a real price.
