Celebrating 100 years of Chevy truck history in 2018, the American auto manufacturer had produced over 85 million trucks in the past century.
Pickup trucks if marketers are to be believed are sort of like the 21st century equivalent of a cowboy’s steed. The owner is a straight-talking man’s man who needs a truck that can perform and play hard as you do. The sense of individualism dovetails neatly with the uniquely desire to stand out from the crowd and to distinguish ourselves via vehicles we drive.
The fourth-generation of Chevy C/K trucks lived on from 1988-1998. The "C" denoted two-wheel drive and the "K" denoted four-wheel drive. The model size was also part of the name, with 1500 indicating half a ton. Of the three trim levels -- Cheyenne, Scottsdale and Silverado -- the Silverado was the top of the line. The truck was designed as either the "fleetside," which had cargo box panels and a box covering the rear wheels, or the "stepside," which featured a narrow cargo box and fenders covering the rear wheels. Chrome bumpers and chrome mirrors were also a Scottsdale option. Carpeting and an instrument panel with a full set of gauges were standard. Other options included an adjustable steering wheel, electric windows and cruise control.
How things have changed from the real Pick Up Trucks of the past with brands like Mercedes-Benz and Rolls Royce entering into the truck segment. While they look good, and boasts plenty of power with their posh interiors they will never bring the Full and True meaning to the term “PICK UP TRUCK.”
Clean and Mean. That’s what this truck is.!!!While the clean body lines of a standard Scottsdale look good, it takes a lot of time and money to make them look this good. When you take home this gorgeous example that we have for sale you are going to be faced with a dilemma to either show it or have a party with it.
This two owner example that we have for sale and its previous owners have definitely resisted the temptation for any wild modifications, and one can't argue that the simple GM design is the best look you got for this era truck.
Slight modifications have been done to the cams and head, an aftermarket exhaust system has been fitted. The car is adorned with 22 Inch TIS Chrome Mags and a chrome skirting has been added around the bottom of the body.
A look inside the load bed shows a durable GM Duraliner bed liner, so even though this truck can easily strut its stuff under the bright lights of a cruise it’s also ready for work. The interior is all standard except for the pedals and is extremely well preserved and in excellent condition. In fact that it's all devoid of any rips or fading proves that this truck was always babied and stored in a garage away from the ravages of the sun. Same goes for the crack-free dash and big, comfortable four-spoke steering wheel. The gauges and controls are crisp and bright
The under carriage is super clean thanks to a lifetime of easy-living, and again, it offers more proof of this truck's remarkably careful ownership throughout the years.
These trucks are really starting to catch the eyes of collectors and a clean example like this won't last long. Call today!
